Founded in 2023 in Olympia, Washington State, USA - Olympia Onslaught is dedicated to bridging the gap between history enthusiasts and sports fanatics. Our platform showcases team bios, training regimes, exclusive merchandise, and upcoming event schedules, setting us apart in the world of armored combat sports.
What is Buhurt?
From the French "to wallop", Buhurt (pronounced "boo-hurt" or "boh-hurt") is a modern incarnation of medieval combat training. Our armor and weapons are historically accurate, but blunted for safety. We engage in 1v1 technical duels, 1v1 striking-and-grappling "profight"/"outrance" matches, and team vs team "melees", where the winning team is the last one standing.
